Why Choose Africa for Your First Trip?

Africa is a continent of unparalleled diversity, offering everything from wildlife safaris to mountain treks and beach holidays. Tanzania, in particular, is a perfect destination for first-time travelers to Africa, with its iconic Serengeti, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Zanzibar archipelago.

Best Time to Visit Africa in 2026-2027

The best time for your first time travel to Africa depends on your interests. For safaris, the dry season (June-October) is ideal. Kilimanjaro treks are best from January-March or June-October. Zanzibar beaches are great year-round, but avoid the long rains in April-May.

Safari June-October Great for wildlife viewing
Kilimanjaro Jan-Mar, Jun-Oct Clear skies, less rain
Zanzibar Jun-Mar Avoid April-May rains

This 4-day safari was a whirlwind of incredible wildlife sightings. We covered Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro, and each park offered something unique. Tarangire's baobabs and elephants were a highlight, Serengeti's vastness was stunning, and Ngorongoro's density of animals was unbelievable. Our guide was brilliant, and the vehicle was in great condition. It was a fast-paced but extremely rewarding trip. Highly recommend this itinerary for a comprehensive taste of Tanzania's parks.

Lemosho Route: The Best Way Up Kili

I can't recommend the 7 Days Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route Trek enough. This route is simply stunning, offering incredible views and better acclimatization than some of the shorter options. The scenery changes dramatically as you ascend, from rainforest to alpine desert. The Climb 4 Africa team was excellent from start to finish – great communication, good equipment, and a top-notch crew on the mountain. Reaching the summit was an absolute dream come true. This trek is a serious undertaking, but incredibly rewarding. Plan to do this in 2026!

Kilimanjaro Success on Rongai Route!
Sophie B. · France · 21 Jun 2026

The 6-day Rongai Route was a fantastic choice. It's known for being drier and offering different views, which was true. Our guide was superb, very experienced, and kept us motivated. The porters were incredibly strong and always had a smile. The ascent was challenging, especially near the summit, but the support system made it manageable. Reaching Uhuru Peak was an emotional moment I'll never forget. A challenging but highly rewarding climb. Planning a return for 2026!
